A miserable mountain adventure for FRONTIER SCUM

The PCs — desperate, destitute, and looking for work in Covett City — have been hired by Mr. Jith Smakob, a mild-mannered gentleman of apparent wealth, residing at the Hotel Cosmopole. The job advert, printed in a newspaper found in a Covett City library, was somewhat vague in its requirements for the positions:

Wanted by a gentleman, persons of literary taste and abilities as secretaries and amanuenses. Must not object to travel.

Following a pleasant meeting with Smakob and the promise of handsome wages, the PCs are, to their surprise, offered the jobs right away and packed aboard a train to Palace, the cars filled with those seeking a new life in the Dust Barrens.

But, once they arrive at their destination, the PCs find themselves left high and dry...and things are about to heat up real fast! Their only hope is a trial by fire!

Trial by Fire at Blue-Rock Mountain is based on an 1895 short story by Arthur Machen called The Novel of the Dark Valley, which is itself but one chapter of a larger story called The Three Imposters. I highly recommend this great novel!

Trial by Fire on Blue-Rock Mountain is an independent production by Douglas Carter and is not affiliated with Den of Druids. It is published under the FRONTIER SCUM Third-Party License.

FRONTIER SCUM is copyright Den of Druids.
